BIOGRAPHY- ROSHAAN SALIE
Dr. Roshaan Salie is a dedicated neurodevelopmental physiotherapist for over 20 years, with a passion for understanding the complexities of childhood onset disabilities, particularly in adolescents as they transition into adulthood. Recently awarded her PhD from the University of the Cape Town, her research delved into the challenges experienced by this demographic. Her journey in academia is a testament to her resilience and passion for helping others. With a relentless commitment to excellence and a compassionate heart, she strives to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities while advocating for inclusivity and community participation. As a mother of two, Roshaan has balanced her academic pursuits with a full-time position as the Head of Physiotherapy at Eros Special School as well as the joys of parenthood. Her husband and children (aged 22 and 19), serve as a constant source of inspiration and motivation, reminding her of the importance of nurturing both professional and personal aspirations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and indulging in her love for literature. |
